643: Whole School Entry "Our School Garden: A Growing Story"

Please write Childs name, age, category number and school/Creche name on back of each entry.
Only one entry per child per class Number
A minimum of 3 Entries per class, otherwise class will be added to a similar class
All photographs to be taken by a child as this is a childrens competition
No new entries will be accepted weekend of or morning of show
No entries to be removed from marquee until 4.30pm
The Show will not be responsible for loss or damage to exhibits.
Note for schools in Northern Ireland:
P1 = Junior Infants, P2 = Senior Infants, P3 = 1st Class, P4 = 2nd Class,
P5 = 3rd Class, P6 = 4th Class and P7 = 5th Class

Entries from Creches/Preschools can be collected from Monday 7th to Friday 11th July 2025, send email to arrange collection
Entries from Schools can be left into Show office before Saturday 19th July 2025
Closing date for all entries is Friday 19th July 2025

Title: "Our School Garden: A Growing Story"
Goal: To create a big, colorful poster (A2 size) that shows off your school's garden and tells its story.

What to Include:
1. Pictures! 
Take lots of photos of your garden:  Plants growing (close-ups and wide shots)
Students working in the garden 
Any animals or insects you see 
The tools you use  Print your best photos to stick on the poster.
2. Paragraphs (Short Stories): 
Write a few short paragraphs (3-5 sentences each) about:
What We Grow: What kinds of plants do you have? (Vegetables, flowers, herbs?) 
How We Care For Our Garden: What do you do to help the plants grow? (Watering, weeding, planting?) 
Why We Love Our Garden:
What do you like most about having a school garden?
What do you learn? 
Our Garden's Future: What are your plans for the garden next?
3. Labels and Captions
Add labels to your photos to say what they show (e.g., "Our tomato plants," "Watering the lettuce"). 
Write short captions under the photos to explain what's happening.
4. Make it Colorful and Fun! 
Use bright colors for your writing and decorations. 
Draw pictures of plants, tools, or anything related to your garden. 
Make it easy to read and look at.
