The Castleblayney Show Committee is officially inviting tenders for our Catering and Ice Cream franchises for this year’s show. Taking place on Monday, 3rd August 2026, the show is a highlight of the summer calendar with an expected attendance of between 8,000 and 10,000 visitors on a good day.

We are looking for professional partners who can provide top-quality service and a great experience for our attendees.

🍔 Hot & Cold Food Catering Franchise

We are seeking a principal caterer to provide a wide variety of hot and cold food options, including gluten-free selections.

Exclusive Rights: The awarded vendor will have exclusive rights for general public catering (excluding specific small outlets like crepes, donuts, and Artisan suppliers in the Food Village).

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 food units is required on-site.
  • Seating: One unit must provide a covered seated area with tables and chairs for the public.
  • Insurance: Vendors must hold Public/Product Liability Insurance to a minimum value of €6.5 million.
  • Pricing: Retail prices must be prominently displayed and submitted in advance with the application.

🍦 Ice Cream Franchise

We are inviting offers for the exclusive rights to sell ice cream, crisps, sweets, and minerals at the 2026 show.

  • Capacity: A minimum of 3 ice cream units are required to be stationed across the showgrounds.
  • Exclusive Rights: This franchise covers all ice cream sales for the duration of the event.
  • Pricing: Retail prices must be prominently displayed and submitted in advance with the application.

📝 Important Submission Information

Before filling out your application, please ensure you meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • FSAI Registration: All outlets must be registered with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland; documentation must be included with your tender.
  • Staff Training: All staff must have appropriate hygiene training as per FSAI guidelines.
  • Compliance: Hand-washing facilities must be provided at every unit.
  • Deadline: Completed forms and supporting documents must be returned to the Show Secretary by Friday, 1st May 2026.

Payment Terms: If successful, 50% of the franchise fee must be paid one month prior to the show, with the remaining 50% paid on Show Day.
